Far And Away: 1992 This epic romance follows Irish immigrants Cruise as Joseph Donelly, and Kidman as Shannon Christie as they make a new life in the new world. Cruise earns money by fighting as a bare-knuckled boxer in a bar until he finally meets his match - me! I spent three weeks rehearsing the fight in Santa Monica with Tom and stuntman Corey Eubanks, before filming it for about a month on location in Montana. Cruise's legendary work ethic is pretty amazing to see in action. He was tireless in working to make this scene unforgettable, and he was a great guy to be around. I couldn't have been more impressed.
